MASSAGE AND WELL-BEING SERVICES
The prime purpose of sports massage is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. It can help prevent niggling injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement, whether one is an athlete, regular gym goer or a once a week jogger.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep Tissue Massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish Massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or “knots” (also known as “adhesions.”)
It shouldn’t hurt, but it’s likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a classic Swedish Massage. There should only be as much pressure applied as you can take while still being relaxed. This way you will achieve optimal results
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. If thought beneficial, it will be offered to you as part of your treatment.
Indian Head Massage
A treatment based on old Ayurvedic techniques, involving work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face. It helps reduce stress, fatigue, and eyestrain, increase mental clarity, relaxes and rejuvenates the receiver.
Therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue.
A system of massage used to relieve tension and treat illness, based on the theory that pressure applied to specific spots on the feet produces changes in corresponding parts of the body. For example, pressing on the tips of the toes triggers the brain reflex and affects the brain.
There are reflex areas on the feet that correspond to all systems of the body. Pressure applied to reflexes is thought to marshal the body’s innate healing forces and to help normalise body functions.

Small Group Training
Like the idea of Personal Training but want to split the cost? Small group training provides a personal session for you and up to five others. The small group allows for each participant to be monitored, adaptions to be made, and additional assistance should it be required. A set cost divided down by the number of participants.
